Therapeutic Process

We start with what's already on your mind. Together we pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and stories, and use them to explore your inner world, your beliefs about yourself, and your sense of belonging.

In each session, we look at the picture of your life and examine the places that are calling to you, whether it's joy, grief, numbness, or something in between. We stay curious, name what is happening, and look for real-world shifts that grow from what we discover together.

We begin with weekly 50-minute sessions. Changes unfold over time, and many start to notice shifts after about three months, though there is no one right timeline. To get started, you can schedule a free consultation call with me. If it feels like a good fit, we will book your first session, followed by an invitation to my secure online portal, to complete some standard paperwork.

Why relational therapy?

Often, we learn, grow, heal, and begin to thrive when we feel cared for in relationship. Life can feel incredibly difficult and, in seasons that require additional support, hard work, and perseverance, therapy can be a valuable tool. My approach is relational and embodied; working with me has been described as feeling warm, open, and honest. I bring a great deal of curiosity and tend to ask brave questions. I am open to learning within the relationship, acknowledging that I am the position of “carer”, and tend to organize this learning into an exploratory map in my mind.

One of the ways therapy can create change is through intentional listening and witnessing. Therapy is a unique relationship that observes both the narrative and the patterns behind the narrative, having conversations surrounding those patterns in the quest for discovery, often leading to change. Relational therapy can be practiced individually, in couples, or groups. I currently offer one-on-one, individual therapy.
